Stellite Alloy Nozzle Ring
Typical grades of Stellite alloys are: Stellite1, Stellite4, Stellite6, Stellite8, Stellite12, Stellite20, Stellite31, Stellite100, etc. In my country, the research on Stellite high temperature alloys is relatively in-depth and thorough (the main domestic research institutions and promotion units are the Iron and Steel Research Institute and Beijing Rongpin Technology Co., Ltd., etc.). Unlike other high temperature alloys, Stellite high temperature alloys are not strengthened by an ordered precipitation phase firmly bonded to the matrix, but by a solid solution strengthened austenite fcc matrix and a small amount of carbides distributed in the matrix. Casting Stellite high temperature alloys rely heavily on carbide strengthening. Pure cobalt crystals are hexagonal close-packed (hcp) crystal structures below 417°C, and transform into fcc at higher temperatures. In order to avoid this transformation of Stellite high temperature alloys during use, in fact all Stellite alloys are alloyed with nickel to stabilize the structure in the temperature range from room temperature to melting point. Stellite alloys have a flat fracture stress-temperature relationship, but show superior hot corrosion resistance above 1000°C than other high temperatures, probably because of the high chromium content, a characteristic of this type of alloy.
