Turbine blades are an important component of the turbine section in gas turbine engines. The high-speed rotating blades are responsible for sucking high-temperature and high-pressure airflow into the burner to maintain engine operation. In order to ensure stable and long-term operation under extreme conditions of high temperature and pressure, turbine blades are often forged with superalloy and cooled in different ways, such as internal airflow cooling, boundary layer cooling, or thermal barrier coating for blade protection to ensure reliability during operation. In steam turbine and gas turbine engine, blade metal fatigue is the main reason for engine failure. Strong vibrations or resonance can lead to metal fatigue. Engineers often use friction dampers to reduce the damage caused by these factors to the blades.
