4J36 is a low expansion alloy
Alloy 36 is a special low-expansion iron-nickel alloy with an ultra-low coefficient of expansion. Among them, the control of carbon and manganese components is very important. Cold deformation can reduce the thermal expansion coefficient, and heat treatment in a specific temperature range can stabilize the thermal expansion coefficient.
It has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion between -250°C and +200°C.
Has good plasticity and toughness.

4J36 Corrosion Resistance
Corrosion resistant in dry air at room temperature.
In other harsh environments, such as humid air, corrosion (rusting) may occur.
4J36 Application Fields
● Production, storage and transportation of liquefied gas
● Measuring and control instruments whose operating temperature is below +200°C, such as thermostats
● Bushings for screw connectors between metal and other materials
● Bimetallic and temperature controlled bimetallic
● Tempering molds for CRP parts in the aviation industry
● Frames for electronic control units of satellites and missiles below -200°C
● Auxiliary electron tube in the electromagnetic lens of the laser control device
