Stellite cobalt-based alloys consist of complex carbides in the alloy matrix. They are resistant to abrasion, abrasion and corrosion and retain these properties at high temperatures. Its excellent wear resistance is mainly attributed to the unique inherent properties of the hard carbide phase dispersed in the CoCr alloy matrix.
Stellite 19 resists severe impact and has excellent red hardness, making it suitable for applications such as cutting tools, machine parts, high-temperature bearing races, nozzle disks and polishing rollers.
One of the standout properties of Stellite 19 is its ability to stay strong under red heat. This represents a temperature range of 932 to 1562°F. Stellite 19's impact resistance is comparable to high-speed steel, but its red hardness is higher. Stellite 19 can be used at higher speeds than HSS. The alloy's excellent resistance to corrosion by many common chemicals and its wear-resistant properties allow it to be used economically when processing materials such as plastics and rubber, freeing up the corrosive agents used in the manufacturing process.
