Stellite cobalt-based alloys consist of complex carbides in the alloy matrix. They are resistant to abrasion, abrasion and corrosion and retain these properties at high temperatures. Its excellent wear resistance is mainly attributed to the unique inherent properties of the hard carbide phase dispersed in the CoCr alloy matrix.

Stellite 20 is one of the most wear-resistant standard cobalt-based alloys. It also has good corrosion resistance. Although it has lower impact resistance, it is often the only option for certain environments where chemical resistance is required in addition to abrasion resistance.

Stellite 20 has been used in mud pumps, pump sleeves, rotating seal rings, wear pads and bearing sleeves.
